LOGISTICS STATUS OF BANDIRMA WAS NEGOTIATED IN "BANDIRMA LOGISTICS WORKSHOP"

A Logistics Workshop was held in the Chamber of Commerce Meeting Hall by the 16th Professional Committee of the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce.

The workshop was held with the participation of directors of public institutions related to the logistics sector in Bandırma, members of Bandırma Chamber of Commerce 16th Professional Group and lecturers from Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Foreign Trade and Logistics Application and Research Center.

Funda Dedeoğlu, Member of the 16th Professional Committee and Assembly, who made the opening speech and moderator of the workshop;

As the 16th Professional Committee, we will carry out studies to obtain information on the logistics situation of Bandırma, problems, solution proposals, future investments, and to deliver reports to the necessary authorities. In this regard, we will cooperate with the professors working at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Foreign Trade and Logistics Application and Research Center. The Bandırma Logistics Workshop, which we organize today, is our first meeting where we, as the 16th Professional Committee, brought together all the stakeholders of the sector. Today, in this meeting, we have determined 6 main topics: questions and problems in the customs clearance process, issues to be addressed within the scope of maritime transport, use of the railway in trade in Bandırma, road transport, storage and warehouse status, and employment and training issues of the logistics industry. All questions and opinions expressed at this meeting today will be reported by our friends, and later, it will be re-worked and evaluated together with my committee friends and valuable lecturer. These issues will be addressed in the Bandırma session at the Bandırma Logistics Summit to be organized by Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University on 20-21 April. " said.

The situation of Bandırma in maritime, road and railway transportation, which ways companies use for their inputs and outputs for what reasons, problems experienced, aspects open to improvement and expectations were discussed. It was discussed what kind of a roadmap should be followed for the issues seen as disadvantages and the aspects open to improvement.

In the workshop, the inadequacy of the port backfield and the absence of a third gate in the port were cited as the most important problems that should be addressed and to be resolved with priority. Opinions were expressed in the direction of forming sub-working groups regarding all the issues determined and submitting the reports to be prepared to the relevant authorities.
